I’m back from my months-long blog hiatus to say mention I watched the new Evangelionfilm this afternoon.
I’m still wrapping my head around this film, so it’s very possible that I will write a follow-up or edit this post with all my thoughts. But I felt it was a good idea to jot some thoughts down and dust this old blog off tonight. I’ve been meaning to for a long time!
One of my New Year’s resolutions this year was to work on writing and sharing my music with folks. I’ve resolved to make music more often in 2021. I crafted some demos of songs I’ve written this month. They’re very spare – half of them don’t have more than a vocal track laid down. For now, it’s enough, I thought I’d share them all with you under the cut. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to listen.
One of my best friends in real life runs a YouTube channel dedicated to Let’s Plays. He typically plays various RPGs, but the majority of his content is centered around the Madoka Magica spinoff, Magia Record. For one of his latest videos, I actually feature to showcase Nagisa Momoe in gameplay. My friend pauses the video periodically to offer his own commentary.
I have no real experience playing mobile games, unless Flappy Bird counts. At the persuasion of my friend, I picked up Magia Record in August 2019. I’ve been playing it pretty much every day since then. I’ve been enjoying the story, and the gameplay is simple enough to pick up and play. During this isolation, it’s one of the few things I can still focus on.
Feel free to check the video out if you’re interested!
These days, I’ve been focusing on cultivating self-confidence.
Like many people, I’ve been affected by the isolation meant to slow the spread of COVID-19. The impact on me has been minor, compared to most – I am able to work from home full-time, so my paychecks haven’t taken a cut. Besides boosted grocery bills on account of buying a little more each time I shop, I haven’t seen much of a financial impact.
Hello! My name is Cameren, and welcome to my blog!
This space was previously used under a different domain for manga reviews. While I am happy with that work, and am still very much into manga, I wanted to move away from being a strictly manga blog in favor of a wider variety of content, including more journal-like entries. I have a wider variety of interests I’d like to share, and I think having a narrow focus kept me from updating as often as I thought I would.
I have a few other entries in mind for the near future. Keep watching this space!
